Aloe Vera Ice Pop

Aloe Vera Ice Pop

Skincare trends are constantly popping up on social media. The new fad for beautiful skin is freezing aloe vera and making an ice pop for your skin! As you probably know, we love using aloe vera in our products! Try our high eye-Q eye gel, which contains aloe vera (perfect for depuffing the under eyes) But what is all the hype around freezing it?

Aloe vera has incredible benefits for our skin, like soothing sunburns and skin injuries, moisturizing our skin, fading dark spots, managing acne, soothing skin conditions, and slowing signs of aging. However, freezing aloe vera is the key to tighter, de-puffed skin. What ice does, is it constricts the vascular system, so you're really able to pump those lymph nodes out and really tighten the skin

Want to try this skincare hack yourself? You will need an aloe vera plant (or leaf), a knife, a spoon, and a popsicle molder! Got the kit? Now follow these steps below to create your own aloe ice pop!

1.   Cut a leaf from an aloe vera plant in half and use your knife carefully to slice the leaf down the middle, which will reveal the gel inside

2.   Using a large spoon, scrape the gel from both sides and put it inside a blender; now blend till there are no chunks and everything is smooth (it might be a little foamy)

3.   Pour into your molds and freeze overnight. When you wake up, you’ll have a perfect aloe vera ice pop to use morning and night!

Be cautious the first time you try an aloe vera ice pop, as your skin might be sensitive to extreme temperatures. With all skincare products, start by testing a small area of your face for a short period of time to see how your skin will react! If you have any other skincare questions, DM us on Instagram!
