Beginner Skincare Routine
Starting your skincare routine may be intimidating, with tons of products and new techniques, you may be wondering, where do I start? Well, we’re here to help create a basic skincare routine for you!
There are a few basics that you should always include in the following order:
Step 1: Cleanse
When cleansing, you should do this twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. Cleansing in the morning will help remove any sweat or oil that may be left from your pillow and hair during your sleep. As well as cleansing your skin in the evening will remove any makeup, excess oil, and any other debris that collects on the skin throughout the day. We recommend using high priority cleansing foam, is good for all skin types and gentle enough for sensitive skin. This organic aloe-based cleansing foam removes makeup and impurities and deeply clarifies pores. Your skin is left refreshed and hydrated without feeling dry or tight. Apply 2-3 pumps to damp skin. Gently massage in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 2: Moisturize
Your next step will be to use a moisturizer. For starters, we recommend using an oil-free and fragrance-free moisturizer. You want something gentle on your skin that will give you the hydration your skin needs. If you tend to have oily skin or are prone to breakouts, we suggest a gel-like moisturizer.
Step 3: Protect
You must wear SPF every day even if it is cloudy out and you don’t think you need it. When choosing which type of sunscreen to apply, there are two routes: Chemical or mineral based. Wearing sunscreen daily will help prevent dark spots, wrinkles, and skin cancer, which is why we need to apply it throughout the day.
You can add more steps once you feel comfortable with your routine and want better-looking skin! After this 3-step skincare routine, some steps to consider are exfoliating, using tretinoin, salicylic acid, etc. We hope this will help you begin your skincare journey!
