What is high?

High is a revolutionary beauty brand powered by Cannabis sativa. high is formulated using only Cannabis sativa seed oil extracts and is 100% legal and free of psychoactive substances including THC & CBD.

Is high legal?

high is formulated with Cannabis sativa seed oil.

Seed derivatives are exempt from the Controlled Substances Act under the 2004 United States Ninth Circuit Court decision to protect sales of industrial Cannabis sativa-derived foods and body products. The most recent 2018 United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision did not change this status.

Cannabinoids including CBD and THC are not found inside the seeds of industrial Cannabis sativa plants according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes 2009 report. The 2014 Federal Farm Bill authorized U.S. state-sanctioned programs and academic institutions to cultivate industrial hemp for research. The bill also differentiated industrial Cannabis sativa from marijuana due to negligible amounts of THC in industrial plants.

Will high get me high?

No, high cannot give you a recreational high or make you fail a drug test. Our formula does not contain THC (psychoactive) or CBD (non-psychoactive).

Why hempseed oil?

Hemp has an unequaled fatty acid profile of any plant in the world. Its unique concentration of essential fatty acids (EFAs), antioxidants and proteins nourish, protect, and renew skin in the most compatible and natural way possible.

Hempseeds contain powerful levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids, omega-6, omega-3, omega-9, linoleic acid, and even gamma linoleic acids (GLA’s) rarely found in natural oils. Even more, its perfect 3:1 ratio of omega-6 (linoleic acid) to omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) EFAs help balance and repair the skin’s natural barrier.

High concentrations of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), and stearidonic acid (SDA) within cannabis sativa seed oil helps calm inflammation, hydrate and replenish for healthy beautiful skin.

Finally, hempseeds are a complete protein source with all twenty amino acids in combination with vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, E and arginine. These essential compounds prevent free radical damage, protect skin with potent antioxidants and delay the aging process.

Hemp seed oil also has adaptogenic properties, helping to balance all skin types.

Hempseed Oil is the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) name of the ingredient. INCI, is a system of names for waxes, oils, pigments, chemicals, and other ingredients used to formulate beauty products based on scientific names and Latin species naming. If you look at the back panel of any product you will see INCI naming as it is legally required.

Is hempseed oil safe?

Yes. Hempseed oil is safe to use both on the skin and as part of a healthy diet.

Why doesn't high contain cbd?

high does not use CBD oil (cannabidiol oil) for a number of reasons.

Because CBD oil is federally illegal, regulations do not exist for extracting, potency testing or labeling the substance. Recently a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association disclosed that only 31 of 84 labs tested hemp-derived CBD products contained the amount of CBD indicated on the label. Additionally, most CBD on the market is extracted using toxic chemicals like hexane and butane. Consumers, as a result, are unknowingly being exposed to dangerous chemicals in their quest for natural, therapeutic products that may or may not deliver what they promise.

The government still considers CBD to be an experimental pharmaceutical substance under evaluation by the FDA. Any products on the market that do contain cannabidiol are also at risk for federal intervention. Starting in 2017, the FDA sent letters to several companies selling hemp-derived CBD products warning that they were violating the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Acts. Furthermore, the United States of America currently holds a patent on cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants (US Patent 6,630,507).

What will hempseed oil do for my skin?

  • Helps calm inflammation
  • Balance all skin types with adaptogens
  • Protects with potent antioxidants
  • Hydrates and replenishes
